International CSR Exchange Meeting

As part of the Sino-German Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the German Technical Cooperation Organisation (GTZ) an International CSR Exchange Meeting was held at CANGO’s premises on the 11^th of November 2009. A new report on the Analysis of Training Needs of Chinese small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) was presented by Ms. Dai Yibo (代奕波) from the Development Centre for Chinese CSR of the China WTO Tribune (WTO经济导刊). One of the major findings of the report is that many SMEs in China have only limited basic understanding of CSR issues and awareness raising activities continue to be relevant. Options for the involvement of NGOs in enhancing SMEs understanding of CSR was also discussed during the meeting.
